What is a price boost?
A boosted price is only useful if it's actually +EV.
A sportsbook might take a normal price and boost it for a limited time. For example, a player prop might move from +115 to +200, or a team price might be pushed higher for a promotion.
The boost does not automatically make it profitable. The question is whether the boosted price is better than the fair market price after the true probability, sportsbook margin and available hedge options are considered.
