The market

Missouri voters approved sports betting through a ballot measure in November 2024, and the market opened on 1 December 2025. Operators pay 10% of adjusted gross revenue, at the lower end for a state of its size. Mobile licences were open to the casino operators, the professional sports teams and two untethered bidders, and only two of the eight live books came in through team partnerships.

Missouri is the newest market in the country, open since December 2025, and new markets are where offers are at their most generous. Operators are still buying market share, the 10% tax leaves them room to do it, and eight books is a wide enough field to hedge across. This is the market to prioritise right now.
